There are two ways to train with me

Northern Kung Fu

Traditional Chinese martial arts have been cultivated over thousands of years. They provide a complete practice path for the body and mind, a single place where a practitioner can develop all parts of their body, psyche, and energy (Qi). I lead students through the training stages of physical and energetic mastery, an increasingly dynamic and powerful way to express your self-mastery through the body.

Qi Gong Breathing

There is no Kung Fu without Qi Gong. Qi Gong is the development of carefully controlled breathing and postures to maximize the flow of energy in the body. Advanced Qi Gong includes training in Iron Palm and Iron Body, as well as techniques to store and discharge energy in dynamic, real-world scenarios. We’ll start slow, with the breath, and work our way into more advance techniques.

I am a 3rd Generation White Tiger SiFu who has been studying Shaolin and Northern style Kung Fu since 1994. Before training under my teacher, Master Jong Hoon Jeon, I had studied under the Venerable Shi Yan Ming, 34th Generation Shaolin monk, in New York City.

I became a disciple of Master Jong Hoon Jeon in 2001, meaning I agreed to be trained in the demanding and traditional manner reserved for the most serious of students.  In 2002 I was awarded the title of instructor and permitted to teach on my own, and in 2004 elevated to Da Si Hing (school leader).

I co-ran Master Jeon’s Philadelphia school from 2002-2005, leading 9 classes a week including intensive, full-speed and full-contact sparring. In 2008 I was elevated by Master Jeon to a co-master, and in 2014 to a master.

In addition to Shaolin Kung Fu, I have also trained in Hung Gar, Wing Chun, Jingui Qi Gong, and Tai Chi.
