Qi Gong
It all begins… with a breath.
Qi Gong is a widely misunderstood practice. Most of Qi Gong can be completely explained through the biomechanics of the body, which makes most Qi Gong no different than advanced Tai Chi. This is not a snub or an insult, for advanced Tai Chi is one of the most powerful martial arts known (when it’s practiced in a martial way). And there are some parts of Qi Gong that cannot be reduced to biomechanics, and are quite extraordinary when experienced first-hand.
The Qi Gong training you undertake with me will involve teaching your 4 different kinds of breathing exercises, designed to help you to breath more fully and more consciously than you ever have before.
From here, you’ll learn the Shaolin 8-Fold Brocade, a powerful Qi Gong form that can be practiced daily for vastly improved lung capacity, flexibility, strength, and awareness of the more subtle energies of the body. Advanced students will be invited to begin Iron Body training, which involves training the body to withstand external impacts in a regimented and gradual way for a vastly increased capacity to increase health, sexual stamina, immune system resilience, bone density, and many other life-enchancing side effects.
The Training
This is a complete practice path for the body and mind, a single place where you can develop all parts of your body, psyche, and energy (Qi). Learn to express physical and energetic mastery through an ancient and powerful practice, from Chi Na (擒拿) to Kung Fu (功夫) to hard and soft Qi Gong (氣功).
Beginner Levels
We will begin with learning how to breath by learning and practicing two kinds of “soft” Qi Gong breathing. One part of this level will have a practitioner able to take a 30-second inhale, hold it for 30 seconds, and have a 30 second exchale, all while seated and being attuned to the body. You will also learn the first two levels of the Qi Gong form.
Intermediate Levels
This will involve one additional kind of breathing, and understanding here will be also be based on counting how long the breathing exercises are taking. As you get better, you’ll be able to take deeper and deeper breaths, increase your spacial awareness, increase your body awareness, begin to govern your autonomic nervous system, and find access to inner wells of strength. Your health, sleep, stamina, and self-awareness should all be steadily increasing. You’ll also learn the next three levels of the Qi Gong form.
Advanced Levels
The final level will teach you one final Qi Gong breathing form, and you’ll now be able to move between the four you’ve learned fluidly and at your own discretion. You’ll learn the final two levels of the Qi Gong form as well. A handful of students may be selected to continue working by moving into hard Qi Gong training, which will be explained during this level.

You train one-on-one with me for a one-month package, 3-month package, or 6-month package. We’ll train virtually via Zoom, and your progress will be monitored by us having active training sessions.
